Not sure WTH I just read, but it was incredible. Pure chaos, pure fun, and downright hysterical. I could not put it down. Even if you’ve never touched LitRPG, this thing grabs you and does not let go. If the rest of the series is consistent, I’m reading them all! 5/5⭐️

Simone St. James delivers another eerie, suspenseful tale in The Book of Cold Cases. It’s a creepy mystery that’s perfect for a quiet, rainy weekend. Shea and especially Beth stand out as fantastic, well-developed characters that made the story creepy but fun. 4/5⭐️

Fun read, although not what I expected; a post-apocalyptic zombie story that’s more mystery thriller than survival horror. Feed by Mira Grant delivers zombie fighting action with a journalistic twist. Not great, but a solid read. Worth getting on sale at B&N/BAM. 3.5/5 ⭐️ #booksky #books #bookreviews

Agatha Christie meets Lost in this twisty island mystery run by a friendly, and kinda ditzy, Umbrella Corp. The Last Murder at the End of the World by Stuart Turton is a wild, fun read that keeps you guessing. I picked it up on sale at B&N and loved it! 4/5⭐️

Just finished The Night Hawks by Elly Griffiths. Think Broadchurch meets archaeology with a dash of Hound of the Baskervilles. Gripping, atmospheric, and smart. I’ll definitely read more from her books and it looks like there are plenty! 4/5 ⭐️

Stay Awake was a decent weekend read—amnesia plot felt a bit cliché, and the ending was predictable, but it was a fun read nonetheless. I picked my copy on sale at Books-A-Million, and it was worth it. Recommended 3/5⭐️

Cowboys, witches, demons, magic, and adventure makes for a helluva story! I loved everything about this book, and I’m definitely going to read any sequels Mr. Grecian may have written plus any of his other titles. Again, I highly recommend this one. 5/5⭐️!

SPOILER ALERT!
This book is a big NOPE for me! It had so much potential, I was looking forward to having all the mysteries explained, so I read on and on. And guess what, they don’t explain any of it. In my opinion the book doesn’t even have an ending. 1/5⭐️

An emotional, anger/hatred inducing story. I had no idea it was going to be such a horrifying story; I was unprepared. That being said, it was a great book. My one criticism is that the ending was a bit predictable. Highly recommended, but a tough story. 4/5 ⭐️

A great movie! I didn’t expect to enjoy this movie so much. It’s a spy meets whodunnit mystery that’s super fun to watch. Sometimes the British accents made the dialog hard to follow, but that’s a me-problem. Watch it while it’s in theaters. Highly recommended! 5/5⭐️

Last Breath was amazing! It was harrowing, thrilling, and exciting. Bonus, it’s based on a true story. I did not expect to enjoy this movie as much as I did. If you get stressed easy, don’t watch this movie! I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. 4.5/5⭐️

I’ve read a few of Stephen King’s books, and this one hit different. It was more fantasy-ish than I’m used to from him. The first half was terribly slow; during the second half I couldn’t put it down! Great book albeit slow to start. Highly recommended 4/5⭐️!

Reread this book, after a few years and I still love it! Great story and great characters. It’s categorized as horror, but it’s not scary. Suspenseful, and thrilling, yes! But not scary. Great pace, it never gets boring. Highly recommended! 4.5/5⭐️!

As a campy, unserious horror movie, I give it 4/5⭐️. If it was supposed to be a serious horror movie, then I give it a 2/5⭐️. The problem is that it seems like they tried to start it as a serious movie, then ended it as a campy one…so it was confusing. Still a fun watch.

First, I really enjoyed this book, BUT the protagonist was not likable. I understand what the author was going for, dynamics of a female in a male dominated field, but the protagonist was a bit much. Regardless, still a great book. Recommended. 4/5⭐️

The first half of the book was so slow! The 2nd half was a giant, chaotic, drama fueled, rage ball of potential revenge murder. Too many revenge plots made for an implausible story. That being said the book was awesome and very fun. Highly recommend. 4/5 ⭐️

I recently found this book in my ruck sack, so I reread it. It reaffirmed my opinion that this is, despite being unavailable in most bookstores (and I don’t know why), one of Freida’s best books. I’ve only read 3-4 of her books, but this one is my fave. 4/5 ⭐️

I was recently diagnosed with stage 3 steatosis (fatty liver) but stage 0 fibrosis (scarring). I consider myself lucky that this was caught before it became fibrosis. I’ll be posting on my progress and process for reversing my condition with hopes it helps others.

Great locked room mystery! It can be a bit tough to read because of the 1930’s writing style, but if you can get past that, the ending is worth it. I read this book because of Carr’s reputation and I wasn’t disappointed. I’ll read more of his books now!

Perfect for my fellow ADHD readers! Even though the POV doesn’t change, the story is all over the place in a good way. It’s fast paced, sometimes confusing, but always fun! It’s a great supernatural kinda sci-fi mystery/thriller. I thoroughly enjoyed it. 4.5/5 ⭐️

In Brave New World Anthony Mackie and Harrison Ford were great! The CGI, not so much! Not sure what happened with CGI team, they need better training or computers because, the graphics were pretty terrible. The movie was still fun. Still recommend. 3.5/5 stars.

Not sure why this movie got such low ratings on Rotten Tomatoes! It’s essentially a cute rom-com with kickass, albeit very sentimental, assassins that takes place on Valentine’s Day! Very fun, pretty funny, and lots of action. 4/5 stars from me.

Great beginning! Started off super creepy, but it failed to stick the landing. The story was predictable and the book’s synopsis gave away too much! This book should have been amazing, but it was mediocre at best. Luckily I got this book on a big sale at BAM. 3/5 stars.
