Even with the GOTY nomination it feels like almost no one is actually talking about DK Bananza, it's like people completely forgot about it after they were finished talking about how much "hype" its ending had. I really think the game is a solid experience but doesn't have like much impact at all.

I'm a bit surprised by how much I don't jive with Air Riders, I already knew it wasn't going to be a game for me, but playing it made my apathy grow. It feels aimless and like it's more interested in having bright things on screen than having something like mechanical depth.

I really get why Torna was supposed to be after ch7 now, it really throws as many flashbacks as it can at this point and even though they’re all well done scenes, the placement feels really inelegant and comes off as trying to justify a character last second, which would’ve been fixed if they had

Thinking about it, it's twice that the Ontos core has been found washed up on a beach shore, considering the significance of beaches in the series and Alvis's (and maybe Malos'?) mysterious disappearance and reappearances I wonder if this hold significance.

the acting in xc2 is genuinly like a billion times better in jp than en, like I finished ch7, and you can hear Rex's voice cracking in his big speech and it feels so good.
