In the new adaptation of The Running Man, in the dystopian future stratified society they call the underclass “Welf”s which I assume is short for welfare. A pretty good worldbuilding detail

It’s great cause Wark kinda trashes all the new type prefix-capitalism books in her book Capital is Dead, and the disintegrator guys kinda trash all the “this is the end of capitalism!” books in their book Exocapitalism. But they’re sorta coming from a similar place, it’s all love. It’s ya boi

Thanks for expanding on this. I would say it makes me want to conceive of, perhaps - “Techne is a relationship of change” or something

I was saying this just to be a snarky contrarian but I am thinking about how the automatically assumed commercialization the interface of science and tech with society creates the pervading sense of average people being left behind

The Lowdown on Hulu by Reservation Dogs creator Sterlin Harjo is amazing, widens the lens on Oklahoma storytelling while still threading that Native perspective into it. Plus we love Kyle McLaughlin, great cast

I have some friends who are very bullish on the promise of ATProto ideologically, and it is cool to see more apps being built on it over time , but I take your point .

It’s worth a read! They give a sort of exegesis on the cosmology of salesforce that is pretty breathtaking lol. It kind of falls apart at the end but that didn’t ruin it for me.

I didn’t think your account was official haha. Gotta set up your custom domain handle!
