Getting set up on digital market places for Cake Maker is so complicated. Itch is a lot less involved than Steamworks but still not a walk in the park. I do appreciate it's relative ease though.

I will make a character who is both. He has a trauma that does get healed during his journey but he is and was always ahead of the curve so it took him a while to start his recovery.
A lot of professional writers were obsessed for so long with this idea that the main character needs to have a trauma that will be fixed during the narrative and the miss the joy of "protagonist who was right all along and it's the rest of the world who needs to catch up".

In the final stages of balancing Cake Maker and it's almost there. Friction is good but I need to see if I can get a little more play with a full tray. Might have to change treat weights.

What an interesting game design insight!
Due to the unique way Super Mario Bros. stores its maps, its level designers were at the mercy of the decorative hills and bushes when placing bottomless pits. While the pits can be placed freely, the decorations are non-negotiable and dictate the level design.

I carry a couple snacks in my car because I used to live somewhere really cold. Now when I run in to a panhandler asking for change I ask "Are you hungry?" If they say yes, I give them my spare granola bar. I feel like I'm in complete agreement with the universe every time I do this. Great feeling.
