I'm not the biggest fan of the disabled genius trope. There's lots of disabled people who are amazing and very intelligent but somehow to me it feels like the only way a disabled person can be acceptable to abled audiences is by still being useful, you know what I mean?

I never got those challenge shows where they put a snake on a lady and she over reacts for the camera. Either it’s fake and they’re stressing out a snake for no reason or it’s real and they’re distressing both a human and a snake for no reason.

So I get pretty anxious at night because it gets quiet, so I usually turn on documentaries that aren’t intrusive noise wise while I wind down. My remote is randomly broken somehow and the down button doesn’t work so I can’t actually watch anything because most services start you at the top.

I wish I could get stuff done without it being a stupid struggle. Why are my neighbors playing music so loud or moving their furniture while I'm trying to write my essay on cave paintings by early humans?
Then again they also do that while I'm trying to sleep and at 3am.

Something that scares me is that in the near future the government will be stripping resources and protections for the elderly, and when my parents are elderly I won't have the resources to return the favor of caring for me. It makes me genuinely upset and I don't know what to do with that feeling.
