#Practice is unpopular because it produces very little visible evidence. There's no public marker that says you practiced well today. No guarantee that practice turns into bookings.

There's also no substitute for it.

The absence of practice shows up later, usually at the worst possible time.

#VoiceActors: Make production easier, not harder. Producers remember the voices that show up early, communicate cleanly, and deliver solid audio every time. That’s how you become the voice they bring back.

Annnd Im over it.

Too much grinding and PvP with kids who pay for the bigger ships and weapons and dont give a damn about anything else.

It had promise, but once again its the online players that ruin it.
New game! I've been playing "World of Sea Battles" - kind of a dumb name, but the game is fantastic. And its free! (lots of grinding, but really fun gameplay).

Use this code and get a bunch of free stuff for playing:

Too many people treat equipment as a substitute for skill.

It’s easier to order a new mic than it is to train your ear, improve your reads, or fix bad booth habits.

New toys are fun. Practice is work.

Sustainable progress in #voiceover comes from how you show up to the work, not from increasing pressure or output.

In other words, You don’t need to #hustle harder. You need to show up better.

Ya know, if you stocked up when there's no bad weather, you wouldnt be faced with a Black Friday-like grocery shopping experience when the temp drops below freezing.

Pantries exist in houses for a reason, folks.

Scripts don’t live or die on vocabulary. They live on intention and the relationship you create with the listener. When that part is clear, the words become secondary.

Here's a perfect example

The #voiceartsawards happened this weekend.

Which means my feed is awash in humble-brags.

Which means its time to repost my thoughts on what all of these awards are actually for.

#voiceover tip:

You dont need a $1000 microphone to sound professional.

What you do need is a quiet space and a clean read.

Chasing gear instead of chasing performance is a great way to stay busy and broke.

Buy decent.
Learn how to use it.
Move on.
