Yesterday I nuked the Windows partition on another of my Thinkpads & replaced it with Windows 10 IoT LTSC.
Now I have a clean Win10 system, no Modern apps, no Windows store, no OneDrive, & it'll get updates until 2032.

The problem is that many people were raised to accept religious stories as literal truth without requiring evidence, and they were taught to disregard or reject any evidence that might contradict those religious beliefs. This leads to adults who are gullible and easily manipulated.
