Toast tipping data in this Restaurant Dive writeup by Julie Littman - Q2 tips averaged 18.8%. Full-service tips averaged 19.3% / QSR tips ~15.9%, both dipping 0.1% from the first quarter. Dine-in tips overall averaged 19% while takeout tips were about 13.7% --
Are customers tipping more? Here’s what the data says.
While customers feel more pressure to tip across industries, they still tip a relatively stable 18% at restaurants.
