If you want to keep selling on Itch, I highly recommend changing your payment method to "Direct to you". This won't protect you from censorship but will keep Itch from seizing any money you have already legally earned.

I wanted to give Itch some benefit of the doubt, but this is so draconian. What if they make a mistake?

On the idea that they had to comply with the payment processors to survive: WILL they though? Goodwill is gone. Trust is gone. This is like shooting your right foot to protect your left foot.

not only are these new guidelines incredibly broad, but there's no wiggle room to appeal. itch can and will steal creators' money with no accessible form of recourse.

While I don't think Itch would survive the payment processors pulling out, and a small comfort is the fear that payouts are being withheld seems to be due to poor wording (do better, Itch??), I'm doubting my plan to make them my main shop when my content could be removed just for being queer. 😠
