As our hospitals are overwhelmed with flu cases, we are hearing next to nothing from our Minister of Health & Chief MOH.

Public health won’t happen on its own. We need a province-wide campaign to increase flu vaccine uptake and relieve the burden on acute care.

Since the Conservatives formed government, wage theft has has gotten worse. This means money stolen out of workers’ pockets due to corporate greed.

What’s worse is that the Ford Conservatives have allowed wage theft to unchecked by stopping proactive inspections and failing to recoup stolen wages.

To keep our hospitals in good health, we need to care for them just like they care for our communities. That means funding them adequately so that there are enough hospital beds to match demand, wait-times are reduced, and we can ensure safe staffing ratios.

Expanding prescription medication coverage is a win-win: better health outcomes, out-of-pocket savings, and savings for our health system.

The evidence is clear: universal pharmacare saves lives. Ontario needs to act
The promise of universal health care means that your health shouldn’t depend on your wallet. But currently, that promise falls flat in the time it takes to walk from a

The Conservative government’s cut to hospitals are being felt by healthcare workers and patients alike.

Our hospitals are already the most fiscally efficient. Cutting their budgets will mean fewer staff & services available

We need care not cuts!

TL;DR: the Minister of Health is satisfied with only some of Ontarians having access to the essential medications they need. I believe we can (and must) do better to ensure equitable access to healthcare for all.

In yesterday's Spectator @cameronkroetsch.bsky.social and I talk about what we’ve been hearing from tenants in Hamilton, Bill 60 and Ford’s disregard for tenant rights, and the work we need to do to secure safe, affordable, and dignified housing for all.

Not only did Ontarians foot the bill for removing speed cameras (which happen to have been effective and revenue-generating) we’re now being forced to pay for giant oversized “don’t speed” signs and… (checks notes)… bigger poles.

Another one of Ford’s fiscal failures.
NEW: Doug Ford promised giant signs to replace speed cameras in school zones. Well, they've arrived and... they're huge. So big they don't fit onto existing poles.

Cities say they're too big, the province says they were briefed weeks ago. #Onpoli

Not to be forgotten in the bad-ness of Bill 60 - provisions that open the door to privatize our public water systems.

Hamilton’s experience in the 90s should be a warning - we must protect our public water systems!

If you ever wondered why many community orgs don’t speak out about Ford’s failures, it’s this ⬇️ speak out and have your funding threatened.

Rules set by a government that cares more about consolidating its own power than serving the people of Ontario.
NEW: Ontario Premier Doug Ford is threatening to audit all provincial spending to determine whether public-sector unions are “funnelling” money to “left-wing radical groups” that staged a protest inside the Ontario legislature. #OnPoli
