Just replaced my 2015 iMac with a refurbished 2020 from Back Market. Works like a dream, a notch for sustainability, and — since Back Market is independent — another chunk of change kept out of the coffers of the oligarchy. Baby steps.

Right. I'm here on Jan 1 as part of a resolution to cut ties to the oligarchs. By EOY, I'm hoping to have made this my sole social; meantime, it's my go-to. And to kick off, here's a thing I haven't mentioned elsewhere: in October, I gave up alcohol. No special reason. Just felt like time.
