A great NYTimes article on the crypto currency scam that brought down Heartland Tri-State Bank. I feel bad for anyone caught in such a scam, but also amazed the Bank didn't have better internal controls that should have limited the losses incurred.

With the exception of prohibiting discrimination against protected classes, the government should not be in the business of telling banks which customers they must or must not provide services too.

Deadline for #ECIP participants to sign purchase agreements under the Treasury's disposition policy is this Friday, January 20th. We believe all participants should execute, even if they don't expect to meet any of the thresholds for early disposition. Happy to answer any Q's.

Understand an updated #ECIP FAQ is forthcoming that will confirm that a transaction selling the ECIP by a Mission Aligned Nonprofit Affiliate will not be a Deemed Exchange, thereby avoiding thread of double jeopardy on disposition.

Every #ECIP recipient should be looking to sign Treasury's ECIP Securities Purchase Option Agreement, regardless of whether they anticipate qualifying for early disposition. Agreement provides several tangible benefits to ECIP participants wholly separate from early disposition. We can help!
