I am a Palaeoanthropologist.
From 14th July 2025, I started a new company “Palaeoanthropology & Archaeology Company”-
I am its Palaeoanthropology science consultant.
I am also into a form of exercise called Natural Body Sculpting.
The Covid Fraud Commissioner Tom Hayhoe, mentioned by Rachel Reeves in today’s budget. I campaigned for Tom in 1987, when he was the SDP candidate for High Wycombe. Tom always had time to chat, although incredibly busy campaigning. A really nice bloke. Glad he’s gone places..

Watching the Walking with Beasts episode called Next of Kin (aired on 6/12/2001). Interesting portrayal of Australopithecus afarensis at Hadar some 3.2 mya, or how we imagined they behaved and interacted at the turn of the 20th/21st century, with the evidence we had back then.

A day devoted to the Sea Devils.
Jon Pertwee, Peter Davison and Jodie Whittaker’s Doctors all faced the Sea Devils on screen.
Now this December it’s UNIT’s turn to face them (without the Doctor). The War between the Land and the Sea.. a five part story.

Sad news this morning. The Spaceman has passed aged 74.
Ace was a founder member of KISS in 1973. An incredible lead guitarist. I will remember him as my favourite track by KISS is Talk to Me. He lead sings that song.
RIP to one of my favourite musicians. The incomparable Paul “Ace” Frehley

Desperately sad to hear the news Dr Jane Goodall has died. Jane was an inspiration to many people around the world.
Xuejing and I had the privilege of meeting Jane at her Bournemouth home in 2004.
We spent the evening chatting about mainly Human evolution and worldly things.

As per usual, I’m probably the last Dr Who fan to realise this.
In Jurassic World.. Dominion.. Dr Sadler asks Maisie Lockwood “Are you okay?”
She replies “Not really”..
A nod to the scene in Invasion of the dinosaurs, where Sarah asks the Doctor the same question, and receives the same reply
