Rice's Pub on St. Stephen's Green & Dandelion Market on South King Street were demolished in 1986 to make way for the St. Stephen's Green Shopping Centre. The Slazenger family had assembled the site over 15 years, beginning in 1966.

Once our heritage is gone, it's gone forever.

Curragower House in Limerick was demolished in 2021 and currently lies vacant. My graphic shows the house in this 1860 painting by C. Mills.

Dirty Old Town🙈🦆
This is Blessington Street Basin, a hidden gem in Dublin's Northside that is currently contaminated with harmful algal blooms and litter. The site is a former drinking water reservoir in northern central Dublin that operated from 1810 until the 1970s, serving the north city.

This 1956 aerial shows the construction of Con Colbert Road at Islandbridge. The image captures the road alongside the Irish National War Memorial Park and the now filled-in mill pond (which I've highlighted) that once powered the mill wheel of the Hibernian Mills in Kilmainham.

Allowing properties—especially those of architectural heritage—to remain derelict or vacant for decades should be considered a crime against the state.

Reckless urban planning—urban sprawl, poor public transport, land hoarding, and out-of-town shopping complexes—has damaged Waterford City. The River Suir is one of the city's main assets, yet vacant sites (red) and surface car parking (blue) line its banks.

The new record of 5,014 homeless children living in State-provided accommodation is a national disgrace. Ireland's housing system has deteriorated primarily because of ineffective government policies.
