Legal stuff. Wind farms. Biotech. Sometimes agriculture.
I was at Ripon Cathedral last weekend and the Archbish led the sermon. I think he could hold his own tbh. He did express views.

Right. I work for a company that exports to America. Aside from the cost our poor customs agents' heads are spinning enough already without this incoherent bollocks.

It's only on Gordon the Gopher's profile.

Six minutes and I'm not even second in the queue!

This post comes purely from a position of jealousy

Midday on a Saturday and already I am seeing posts of people watching films (Casablanca) and TV series. Haven't people got supermarkets and branches of B&Q to clog up?

I got this more wholesome one this morning

Best summary ever. I think I'd take this as an obit.

I know when it went downhill.

As in the Tories put in power a person whose background was PR. Who then gambled on a populist promise and lost. Whose replacement then doubled down on populism which was never going to work. And who then gutted the party of any semblance of reason.
They aren't opportunists they just lack any skills

I don't have a working draft. Might just nick yours as they're all quite passable.

People on here are venting about Justin giving him free reign - but rather than challenging on Tories' past history he was letting Gove indulge in this insidious (but slightly amusing) shitstirring on Farage's longevity.
This would be exactly what Farage would be worried about in recruiting him.

Thanks for your comments in the last couple of days.
I feel sometimes that I'm going insane that all this crap not only goes on, but there are even some people out there revelling in it.
To read someone like you who expresses the rage, and sadness, as I feel, is oddly helpful.

I think I might have to take a break from BlueSky. It's nicer here but feeling very powerless and frustrating.
In fact a break from all online comments would be good.

Too many unpleasant people shouting everywhere.

Though ironically everything there is Chi-knees (Chinese! Geddit?)
January 10, 2026 at 9:37 PM
Where you're going will there still be an bus?

Number 6: Nuremberg

Lots of expository dialogue. Oddly, not a single french or russian voice.
Oh, and the token Brit for some reason recast as an alcoholic.

She's convinced me! Off now to join Reform...

True, but in follow up I do also note that they are largely ineffectual.

I know people who loved Corbyn, probably even paid money to Sultana, who had "pronouns", even with blue hair. They're idealistic, blinkered, well-intentioned, doomed to failure, largely resigned to it, and (crucially) thoroughly ineffectual.
Bless.

Why are they so scared of "the libs"? I mean, the progressive left are at times daft, and even a bit annoying, but the main defining characteristic is "harmless".
January 10, 2026 at 10:37 AM
Matt Walsh who so vociferously defended lesbian erasure by "the trans" when it suited him.
What a shit.

Take it back. Pickering had naff all. But Malton is much more entertaining. Gone into a cafe in the marketplace to watch people on the ice.

And yet in our bit of North Yorkshire a mere smattering. This doesn't seem right! This county is where we should be leading!
