Bought a book. Dated 1914, and complete with a handwritten gift notification from New York, it somehow ended up in Oxfam in Woodbridge, Suffolk, where I bought what feels like a slice of American history for £10. And it's gorgeous.

Well, it's superb. Great fun to build,
and a Lego set of equivalent detail - and only marginally higher quality - would cost a lot more.
Nice work Mattel / Hot Wheels

Winter filthy, but God I love driving this car

It's time for a post-Christmas tradition, but this time it's not Lego.
I'd never previously been aware of Mattel Brick Shop, but the existence of a Hot Wheels NSX kit piqued my interest big time.
Build thread, then! 1/?

The original Wreckfest for mobiles is £0.89 on Google Play right now, and it's awesome.
I love discovering AAA games when they're several years old and dirt cheap.

Uncle Buck's Mercury Marquis was only 13 years old in the film.

1965 Mercury Marauder is definitely the coolest car I've seen in the residents' parking at a retirement home.

It's Christmas 1986. I'm wearing my Knight Rider sweater, and I've just unwrapped my Knight Rider stunt set. Quite liked Knight Rider, me.

Buy well, buy once.
My Nan's 1967 Kenwood Chef (now ours) will probably still be mixing Christmas cake in 3025.

A shabby D2 4.2 Quattro is quite devastatingly cool. Looks like it would tear your face off if you looked at it the wrong way.

Lady behind the wheel of this D2 S8 was getting some excellent noises out of it.

Vilnius is pretty serious about Christmas

Few things more exciting than touching down in a city I've never visited before. Shame the Ryanair experience is more like taking a very cramped elevator than relishing the magic of flight.

At junior school one day, we had to sew 3D shapes and I wanted mine to somehow represent a car, but we were told we had to make them animals.
So this is Pointy the wheeled pyramidal dog.

Every now and again, I revisit the flight manual for Microprose F19 Stealth Fighter for Atari ST.
By crikey it's a good read.

Vantage looks great and all, but it would be SICK if it was in a colour.
