Bad hair day scarecrow postcard. Handmade. #handembroidery
I found someone’s lost hair extensions and decided to make a wig for a scarecrow. The scarecrow wears a black hat, and orange shirt and grey trousers. There is a pumpkin at the base of his post, and a Red Crescent moon over his head.

A 16 inch embroidery hoop. The background fabric in the hoop is a mottled blue and black print.on the canvas there is a stone bridge, a river, a small island and a silver fish in the river. Over the bridge there are some white grasses and a tree branch with pale white leaves. There is the beginnings of a giant flower with a white center, pale yellow petals and orange and black sepals. I finished “The Cave” today. This is a 14 inch hoop. Lots of road trash, broken jewelry and repurposed beads went into this one. And lots of hand stitching.

The canvas is decorated with many pieces of broken and vintage silver jewelry, mostly floral, although there is a strange rectangular poodle pin. To the left side of the canvas a cave has been cut. There is indistinct graffiti stitched inside the cave (most of which will never be seen as it is a deep pocket.) There are 2 critters made from road trash, a tall brown one with black ears and a squat toad like one with big black eyes.

I’ve been working on building the interior of a cave for my current project. This includes a bag full of mini scrolls.
Nobody is ever going to see them inside the cave. I made them anyway.

I opened up the ‘cave entrance’ on this piece of #embroidery with road trash critters and a bunch of old costume jewelry. I’m working on the cave paintings now. #beads #vintagejewelry

A good friend of mine sent me a box of road trash from Colorado. So this happened…

A strange and magical imaginary bug hand embroidery incorporating broken tweezers for wings and staples for legs and wire for antennas and some kind of gear thing for the head and body. It is embellished with purple and lilac colored threads and purple beads and sequins. It has a bright blue eye with a slit pupil. The background is sparkly white cotton fabric. The whole thing is standard post card sized.
