I may not be famous, but I AM in the SAG-AFTRA Union. Hiring non-union workers to work while Union workers are striking is called SCABBING. Not cool.
Latest TWID reports different video game character voices (bc the main ones were on strike bc they’re all in SAG-AFTRA). They hired scabs to work when union workers wouldn’t. Therefore they support scabbing. Sad but true.

Federal workers SAVE the government money, that’s why firing them is COSTING the government money. This isn’t difficult.

They count on this story slipping away into the list of appalling things they've already done. It's not. Big mistake on their part.

🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

If the government were functioning, I’d be against a shutdown. The government is not functioning. Democrats should stand their ground and refuse to fund DOGE. www.politico.com/news/2025/02...
Democrats face decision point on shutdown strategy
Republicans rebuffed Democrats' demands in shutdown negotiations. Democrats now have a choice to make.

Wondering why there are so few unions in video games? Why some shops have taken *years* to reach contracts? Why the movement seems to be progressing so slowly?

I'll be interviewing one of the industry's top organizers at GDC in a few weeks — don't miss it: schedule.gdconf.com/session/unio...

Why do I get the feeling that rich folks in Texas who send their kids to private school will just take that tax payer money in their ESAs and invest it instead of using that money on educational expenses?

They win when you:

- lose hope
- give up
- become cynical and withdraw
- keep silent to stay off their radar

Don't let them win.

There are a lot of busy lawyers out there. Trump doesn't just issue an EO & that's it. There will be challenges, some of them lengthy, over legality & constitutionality. The Supreme Court gave him immunity from criminal prosecution for official acts, not omnipotence.
