At a California auto auction, 51 vehicles ran through Rivian’s lane, 46 of them were Teslas.
Interesting data point. Definitely suggests many Tesla owners are moving to Rivian, at least anecdotally.

HelloFresh has added 70 Rivian electric vans to its fleet, marking Rivian's first major public fleet customer since opening van sales to the public.

Did you catch the Rivian R1T and R1S helping transport Blue Origin’s all female crew yesterday? It’s great seeing Rivian front and center at events like these and it's not the first time Blue Origin has used Rivians to transport Blue Origins teams to the New Shepard Rocket.

Rivian is offering discounts for ICE owners of up to $6,000 on new Rivian orders, delivered by March 31, 2025. All you have to do is submit a trade-in request to qualify for the discount, but you don't even have to trade the vehicle in.

Rivian shared in their December newsletter that they're expanding their color palette in 2025! No specific shades revealed yet, but it sounds like we’ll see a wider spectrum of vehicle colors next year. What colors are you hoping they add?

For the next two years, Rivian will be the official sponsor of South by Southwest (SXSW)! Rivian has signed a two year headlining sponsorship agreement with the annual tech and culture festival held in Austin, Texas. SXSW 2025 will run from March 7-15.

According to Amazon's updated news article it looks like Rivian has delivered 20,000+ Amazon EDVs so far.

Rivian has a site where you can buy inventory used in Rivian's spaces and demo drives. Some vehicles have as low as 100 miles, mostly from showroom displays, while others have thousands of miles from demo drives, still covered by Rivian's warranty.

On the contrary, Rivian ranks last in reliability. This isn’t due to vehicle breakdowns or battery/motor issues, but rather build quality concerns like squeaks, misaligned panels, and paint chips, resulting in more service center visits.

Big news for Rivian! The U.S. Department of Energy has conditionally committed up to $6.6 billion in loans to support Rivian’s new Georgia plant.
This essentially allows Rivian to utilize this loan instead of burning through their existing cash to build the factory.
