Since The Dandy Robot (dandyrobotcomic.com) is on a small break until next week, I think now's a good time to provide an introduction to the overall comic and its characters over the course of this week (well, I'll try anyway.)

First, I drew this primer a bit back as a guide for first timers.

Page 1 the introduction to Prince Marine: The Dandy Robot. This one introduces Marine and Prima as well as the basic plot of the comic.

Page 2 the introduction to Prince Marine: The Dandy Robot. This one talks about the primary villains: Top Hat and his minions, Pearl, Onyx, and Garnet.

Page 3 the introduction to Prince Marine: The Dandy Robot. This one talks a lot about about the premise of the comic, wherein Marine must seek pieces of a magical piece of tech called a Core, an orb that's been inside him the whole time.

Page 4 the introduction to Prince Marine: The Dandy Robot. Outro that talks about what to expect in the comic.

I might as well add to this. Here's some old concept art of Prima. Originally he wore blue because he's actually an old OC I created when I was 17 (he contrasted another OC who wore red, is why.) When Marine became the blue guy, I gave Prima warmer colors.

A very old character sheet of Prima when I was still working on The Dandy Robot. I kept him blue for quite a bit while I was working on the story.

Some more concepts of Prima and Anastasia. I forgot what the "invisible wizard is watching" decipher puzzle was. Probably from some supplementary materials I was trying to crack from a TV show I liked.

That said, have some very early Marine concept art dating back to 2012. He actually didn't change much! I just made him more sleeker (dear LORD, the hockey knee pads had to go!)

I came up with a funny interpretation for the Three Archangels where Ophanimon prefers to be Magnadramon when she's not being serious. Seraphimon gets to have two super fluffy friends! So lucky...
