リドリー革命
The Ridley Revolution celebrates its 11th Anniversary today. It started as a campaign for Ridley to be included as a fighter in Super Smash Bros. series - a campaign book and social media presence. Now it's about a celebration of Ridley, his history, and future in video games.

I hope to bring back the Ridley Invades Worlds art series back sometime in 2026. There's still some Nintendo and third party worlds that Ridley hasn't "invaded" yet.

Metroid fans in the UK:
The Club Mocchi Mocchi Samus Helmet and Morph Ball plushies have been added to Amazon UK's website. They're currently "Temporarily out of stock" but will hopefully come in stock soon.

When we get a Super Metroid remake one day, please make a Metroid series Ridley amiibo. Please and thank you, Nintendo.

Today Nintendo announced that Animal Crossing: New Horizons - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition would be coming in January 2026. The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon items and villagers will be available by using select amiibo. Would Nintendo consider adding Metroid content in the future?

I know this might be a hot take, but I feel like some Metroid fans are wearing rose-tinted glasses when it comes to Prime 4. Hype is blinding them into ignoring the problems regarding the game's marketing. To them, it's "not a problem" while using "no spoilers pls" as a shield.

As we're drawing closer to the release of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, besides the artbook and amiibo, I wonder what other merchandise we might get for the Metroid series going forward. Hopefully it'll be available on the UK My Nintendo Store, because getting merch here is difficult.

The Metroid Prime 1–3: A Visual Retrospective artbook is releasing today. Too bad I won't get mine until the 5th November because Amazon UK are rubbish at honouring pre-order release dates...

I find it laughable that there's unofficial "guides" for Metroid Prime 4: Beyond on Amazon. The game isn't out yet, so how these "authors" know what to write in them about the game is absurd. Probably trying to scam people.

Here's my Metroid collection. It features games from the entire series - from the original Metroid (Famicom Disk System) to Metroid Prime Remastered (Nintendo Switch).

My collection consists of games from 3 regions:
NTSC-J (Japan)
NTSC (US/Canada)
PAL (Europe)

The Ridley amiibo is compatible with a number of new and upcoming games. In Donkey Kong Bananza, the amiibo rewards you with a terrain fragment. In Kirby and the Forgotten Land NS2E+, you get some random items. In Super Mario Galaxy + Super Mario Galaxy 2, you get some Star Bits.

Metroid games currently available on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 Vs Missing titles. Hopefully we'll see all of them added in the catalogue eventually.

While I don't expect him to appear, I still want him to be in Prime 4 and future games. I feel that this anti-Ridley nonsense is overly forced. If this game truly does have time travel, then no one can use the excuse "he can't appear post-Fusion" ever again.

On this day, 8 years ago, Metroid Samus Returns was released on the Nintendo 3DS. The game was a remake of Metroid II: Return of Samus, adding new content and new bosses including Proteus Ridley - the [Final Boss] of the game. If only we could get a HD re-release for it...

So I've been looking at game announcement dates (E3 mostly), release date announcements, and actual release dates for Metroid games - between Metroid Prime (Wii de Asobu) and Metroid Dread, they've had 94-252 days between announcement and actual release date for each game.

Nintendo Direct confirmed this Friday. 100% expecting Metroid Prime 4: Beyond's release date to be announced. Ridiculous that they've not revealed it for so long, and we've got only 3 months of the year left (not counting September). If it's not for November, then it's December... or delayed to 2026

I'm back. Great holiday, still feeling tired (got jet lag). Oh, and a Nintendo Direct this week's a bonus.
September 10, 2025 at 3:10 PM
From tomorrow, I'll be going on a holiday/vacation. Any news relating to Ridley and the Metroid series I'll cover when I get back. See you in 2 weeks!

Silksong in September.
Peak.

One day I'd like to show off my entire Metroid game collection. Not sure if I'm going to be able to fit it all in one photo though...

Some Metroid fans are angry about tomorrow's Direct, and no new information for Prime 4.

Kirby fans and Nintendo fans are angry with the Metroid fans that are complaining.

I'm both a Metroid fan and Kirby fan, excited for Kirby Air Riders and its Direct. Prime 4 will come soon.

Metroid Prime 1-3: A Visual Retrospective art book...
PowerA Metroid Prime Trilogy earphones...
PowerA Metroid Prime series controller...
PowerA Metroid Prime Trilogy cross-body case...

Anyone find this timing odd despite Prime 2 and Prime 3 not on Switch or Switch 2 yet?
