I am someone that does stress out a lot about presentation, so I spend a lot of time figuring out aspect corrections, cropping, overscan, and visual glitches that can be prevented. If I’m sharing older cartoons/media, I avoid AI upscale like the plague and find HQ dvd releases.

Saw this floating around. Despite growing up with CRTs and literally playing everything on them (NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, PS1, N64, DreamCast, GameCube, PlayStation 2, and XBOX) I kinda just prefer emulation cause I think it’s really nice to see a crisp picture and full color.

Stray Children from what I got out of it seems more... somber, unfair, and cruel in its tone. It's kind of anti-love, trying to frustratingly survive and reason with a chaotic world of broken people and the loss of innocence. Maybe I'll finally stream it in the later half of Feb.

I want to say that despite being a negative person, when I stream a game I love I'm typically at my most positive and my goal is to give people a cool presentation and shine light on something I think is awesome. I narcissistically just wish there were more streamers that matched my enthusiasm.

It was already starting to happen last year, but I told myself I'd watch less streamers this year. I was trying to watch too many streams I wasn't really vibing with and started asking myself "Why am I here?" and I think that's kind of a realization I was feeling socially obligated.

Got complicated feelings right now and I’m also just feeling bitter. The idea of fitting in is something I always kind of wanted, but also feel disgusted by because it comes with a cost, and it makes being a failure feel more personal. It sucks I can’t relate or feel excitement with others anymore.

I kind of really just don’t like gaming in a modern lens. I still like games that come out, but the cultural zeitgeist surrounding the industry and how the internet changed everyone’s relationships with the hobby kills it for me.
