Read this book! I love Flynn's concept of the "generalist" vs the "specialist". He argues (and I am coming to agree) that it is more useful and more profitable to be "80% good" at a bunch of stuff than it is to be the best in the world at one or two skills howtobebetterbook.com

My time with the oculist. I asked the student assistant if they’re explicitly taught not to judge terrible guesses we offer them. “4? You’ve gotta be kidding me. Have you seen any other numbers on this chart?” at one point I literally said “G? D? O? Well, it’s some circular character!”

Yesterday deep within the building, what's the ruckus? Booming drums for Lunar New Year in the atrium of @buquestrom.bsky.social I'd have a photo of the dancing lions and cheering, if only I weren't terrified to hold my phone at the overlook! 😆 I'm so grateful for @bostonu.bsky.social's diversity.
