2 gorgeous records arrived today, both by bands formerly on the hallowed Sarah record label. Gorgeous reissue of 1989's 'Lyceum' by The Orchids, with loads of extras & the sublime 'There's More to Life than Crooks' by Lightning in a Twilight Hour (Bobby Wratten - ex Field Mice)

BBC4 showing the Alan Hull story. I took over The Tap &.Spile in North Shields a year after he died & the band had drank in there for a while. Their caricatures were on the wall & there was a huge regard for him. Great to see Billy Mitchell & Ray Laidlaw talking about him
