North Duffield carrs:
Scaup, dunlin, redshank, great egret, pintail, wigeon, stonechat marsh harrier and with patience and rain eased briefly the magnificent white tailed eagle appeared out of the gloom. Flew from River bank to distant tree ~12.. honest😶‍🌫️

Just what I said, as the One show is promoting it.
Could have helped protecting Hawks in the wild.
There is a lot of talk about this new film, 'H is for Hawk'. I read Helen MacDonald's book upon which this is based, and it left me very sad. I much prefer to see Goshawks away from people, in wild landscapes, where they are free. Not tethered to people, tamed and broken.

Didn't catch up with the white tailed eagle this visit.
Nice to see great egret & little at East Cottingwith.
Most other birds seen were flying along the river from Aughton, marsh harrier buzzard & wildfowl incl pintails wigeon & teal.

But great numbers of duck incl Goldeneye, pintail, wigeon, teal, pochard etc.

Black throated divers 4, great crested grebes 16 on the sea.
