Although the initial #BIPA litigation often names the AI technology provider as a defendant, employers using them aren’t insulated from liability. Illinois courts hold multiple entities can be responsible for the same biometric collection when they enable, authorize, or benefit from its' use.

Leaders should learn a lesson from Amazon's recent termination snafu, & create a plan for when something goes wrong. We all make mistakes & #accountability is essential. Having processes for sensitive information like limiting #access, & potentially avoiding mass reporting is a good way to start.
