I stand with Ceri Menai-Davis, lead campaigner of #HughsLaw, in pushing for statutory paid leave for parents whose child is battling serious illness.

No traumatised parent should face poverty when their child desperately needs them by their side, holding their hand.

Today marks 80 years since victory over Japan, the moment the Second World War finally came to an end.
An opportunity to pay our respects and remember all veterans of the Far East, who served with courage and distinction in the battle for freedom in Asia and the Pacific.

Scotland's public services have flatlined under nearly 20 years of the SNP, while England's are improving.

An extra £9.1 bn is coming to Scotland over the next three years.

The SNP now have no more excuses for failure. The people of Scotland need - and deserve - better.

On World Parkinson's Day, I stand with @parkinsons.org.uk

This is the bare minimum those living with Parkinson’s deserve

The way John Reddington's case was dealt with by police at all levels needs to be reviewed, so lessons can be learned and no family has to go through the anxiety and pain the Connor family endured.

As fewer survivors remain to warn young generations of horrors of the Holocaust, we must carry their lessons forward - and stand against all forms of hate and prejudice.
Today, the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, is more important than ever. #HMD2025

Music fans are being ripped off by 'dynamic pricing' and greedy ticket touts.

The UK Government has launched a consultation to look at new measures to put fans firmly back at the heart of the live events sector.

In Fife in 2023, 25% of working-age people who died, died in poverty, compared to 14% of pension-age people
These @mariecurieuk.bsky.social statistics are shocking. People should be able to spend the last months and years of life focusing on what really matters - not worrying about how to pay bills
