Beeswax filtered and poured into candleholders for November 28 online sale. Took so much longer than this edited and sped up clip can show, especially as some candles’ wax cracked in the cooling process and I had to melt them again in the oven.

Wave Chandelier- this lamp has been in progress for almost a year now, but then we had guests coming over and I couldn’t have it sitting out in the living room anymore so I finally finished it. This is potentially the first of many with design elements to perfect. But what do you think?

Bumblebees! I thought they were a cuckoo variety which are fascinating and threatened because they cannot feed themselves (no pollen baskets on their legs! ). They rely on invading another Bumblebees’ home and making them do the work. Turns out they are the more common Black-tailed Bumblebees

Springtime! Yesterday we visited our apiaries to remove insulation and check for dead-outs. It’s a tough reality for beekeepers that not every hive survives the winter no matter how kind you are to them beforehand. We’ve found that insulation helps, but we still had 4 out of 11 die.

Squid lamp! I love making these and making there tentacles jingle together. I have a smart LED bulb in there that can do a flashing light show, but sometimes simple is enough.
