Soooooo, today no SNAP benefit checks for November. SNAP is becoming the new tariffs. On again, off again. Depending upon which talking head Trump heard last night.

We made a sizable (for us) donation to our local food bank last night. Food banks prefer cash so they can buy in bulk and stretch their resources. Easy to do online. But, really, any donation of any size is needed.

Many state governors are stepping in to backstop SNAP benefits. But not Texas and other deep red states where the need is the greatest. Many SNAP recipients, especially in these states are Republicans who voted for Trump.

Whose taking bets on which Trump “friend” donated $130 billion to the Defense Department anonymously? My money is on the Saudis, but it could also be his money-laundering crypto buddies, or a Russian oligarch on behalf of Putin. Come to think of it, the list is long and dirty.
