What we first and foremost should focus on is how we improve the lives of everyday workers while encouraging technological innovation. Aligning those two things is the key to political victory over nihilistic nationalism.

Trump just ordered the military into Portland, and he’s giving them the green light to use lethal force on American citizens.

Authoritarianism is an abstract concept but Trump is making its impacts real and tangible. Let’s be real about it: This is the beginning of dictatorship in America.

The two most prominent politicians in America who compared Trump to Hitler are not Democrats but members of his own administration: Vice President Vance and HHS Secretary Kennedy.

Charlie Kirk was a person. He might not have cared if I died, but if I don’t care that he died then I’ve already lost.

I believe in the dignity of all human beings and I want to live in a society that treats each of us as sacred and ensouled.

Charlie Kirk called me a ‘lunatic’ and a ‘prostitute’ and demanded I be deported.

Nothing, *nothing*, justifies killing him, or robbing his kids of their dad.

We don’t know the identity or motive of the shooter but murder can *never* be the response to political disagreements.

We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.

Charlie Kirk has been shot.

I condemn this violence.

Other Dems are lining up to condemn the shooting, as they should.

Something the GOP didn’t bother to do when Dem law makers were assassinated earlier this year by a MAGA zealot.

We continue to be the better people.

But it’s exhausting.

Gavin Newsom is "finally doing what Democrats should have been doing for a decade. [Donald Trump has] defined American politics since 2015. And what we have seen, especially since Hillary Clinton lost in 2016, is that Democrats have been afraid to talk about it directly." trib.al/CWjPGui

Newsom and Pritzker are Democrats with spines. Schumer and Jeffries are not. And it's not because they're governors, it's because they're willing to call out Trump's fascism, while our Capitol Hill "leaders" are willing only to consult the latest poll and limit their comments accordingly.

You may not be shocked to learn the answer is Pete Hegseth’s pal, international terrorist Erik Prince—who has a new Blackwater.

So it's little wonder that Trump's politicized DOJ is now coming after her.
