Campaigners say system remains ‘postcode lottery’ after NPCC report finds varying levels of provision across forces
Survivors of stalking, campaigners for women’s safety and heads of law enforcement have raised concerns over continuing failings by police in England and Wales to tackle perpetrators and protect victims.
They warn that while some forces are doing innovative work on stalking, others are not improving quickly enough, leading to a “patchwork” service and victims facing a “postcode lottery”. Continue reading...

Yesterday at the Public Accounts Committee, I highlighted critical issues that must be addressed to halve VAWG, including:
➡️ Chronic underinvestment in DA and VAWG services.
➡️ Lack of data to show where resources are needed.
➡️ Need for the new VAWG strategy to be a true cross-govt effort. 1/2
