Taking delivery of our cross phase collaboration on Year 6-7 transition materials to support our 750 trainee Y7s as they make the move from primary to secondary is a real moment! ⭐️

I’ve recently spent time going back to the Quality First Teaching conversations for those pupils with SEND who inhabit the middle ground of inclusive mainstream provision. Viewing the best practice of teachers through the lens of the NPQ SENCO framework has led to some fascinating conversations!

An exciting afternoon at Astrea Academy Trust! Our new group of super-motivated leaders from both primary and secondary have begun co-developing the first of our innovative Year 6-7 transition materials to make the move to KS3 a strong one for each of our learners 💪.

After going to their local food bank to learn about what was needed in their locality, this group of 9-11 year olds made sure that harvest assembly was good for their community. Here they are leading their school assembly… what a powerful group of young citizens!
