15 years ago today, the Oakland A’s claimed Edwin Encarnacion off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays, only to non-tender him a few weeks later.
Encarnacion then re-signed with the Jays.
He received a one-year, $2.5-million contract with a $3.5-million option for 2011.
And the rest is history.

I just wrote a huge John Schneider should have won rant on my FB page. The baseball Gods who are all American by the way are drunk...having been pulled over for drinking and driving while voting in a common sense zone. #NotGoodForBaseball

It is killing sports and radio journalists how well the Bluejays did this year. I am sorry but not sorry but John Schneider taking the team from last to first this year deserves the Manager of the year.

Every year I breathe easier for Nov 12th. I have too many bad memories of ministry some years ago with some Legion members attacking me unfairly when the only war they ever fought was during happy hour for a seat at the bar. Also my uncle Eloi was blown to bits in a tank during WWII. Long story.

@kaine.senate.gov is a coward...lots of your American people still have not gotten a good night's sleep. Oh and by the way you were fully paid and had full medical benefits during the shutdown.
