Really pleased by the announcement of +(+)Sarah for Canterbury. I got to know her a bit on my ordination retreat back in the day, and she hugely impressed and inspired me. She has too many skills and qualities to list, but the most important is that she is a person of prayer and full of the spirit.

So there’s a thing. In Deutoronomy 19, it turns out “eye for an eye” is talking about the punishment a false witness should receive - that is to say the punishment they were trying to mislead the judge into exacting from the innocent party. #cofepeeps

Today is Ash Wednesday- a day when Christians across the world begin to mark the journey to Good Friday and then onwards to Easter Sunday. Lent is traditionally a time of ‘giving things up’- a sign of our willingness to make space and time for God in our lives.
