YES. This likely means more spin-offs (which can bring back a lot of characters sorely missed) and hopefully resolving the several loose threads we still have. Having most main RE games take place around the year they come out has always felt a bit stifling for the story IMO.

So the monster in the Resident Evil 9 demo 100% uses Lisa Trevor's scream from REmake. Like straight up the same one. She was noted for being particularly unkillable, so I wouldn't be surprised if she managed to survive. Mutation, regeneration and in general redesigning can cover visuals changes.

Still sad they didn't use this design for Claire's look in Death Island. I know the ponytail is iconic for her, but the slooks so good and keeps cohesion with the ending of Resident Evil REV 2.

I know it'll never happen, but I hope Resident Evil 9's villain(s) and/or evil Organization(s) isn't immediately killed off. The series seriously needs a threat with some staying power IMO. Watching Wesker's rise and fall was an entertaining ride. Alex Wesker is the perfect character for this-

I don't tend to care for leaks, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that I hope the internal plans for the next Resident Evil remakes being RE0, RECV and RE1 are true. Would love to see especially CV get a new coat of paint and to see what they do with it.

Late, but to make it clear, the Raccoon City in Umbrella Corps is NOT actually real. Simply a recreation. The actual real quarantined locations revisited are Resident 4/5's villages and the Antarctic Base from Code Veronica.
It's still very interesting that this is the only other time aside from Umbrella Corps that we get to return to a (previously) quarantined zone. It was always a missed opportunity IMO that we get SO little lore on the quarantined zones. I think it would perfectly tie into the BSAA's waning-

Thinking about it, I'm glad Capcom isn't averse to risk and just trying new things. Might not always land, but it's better than just doing the exact same thing. Not even just with new IPs like Path of the Goddess and Pragmata, but even trying new things with their main IPs like Resident Evil.

It's very funny how drastically Billy from Resident Evil 0 changed in design. From Punk teen to buff James Bond to finally the 5th one that looks closest to the one we ultimately got.
Also, here's Ste(a)ve coming close to looking like a Final Fantasy character before becoming Leo Decap 2.0 lol
