It has been a privilege to walk alongside Simon, one of the worshippers in Clare Church, who was Baptised and Confirmed by Bishop Graeme at the Cathedral this morning.

Thank you to Alison for this picture.

For the avoidance of confusion, yes the sign is accurate, but I was just holding it for the page boy!

4 years ago today I became the Rector of the Stour Valley Benefice.

I continue to feel part of the communities I am called to serve. I hope and pray that I have made a difference in the lives of those I have walked alongside, and I am seeing green shoots of hope and new life all around me.

Even if you are a diehard traditionalist who still observes 40 days of Christmas instead of 12, it is now Candlemas, and the 40 days are up! So please take it all down. Your neighbours will appreciate it.

Good luck to all of my friends who are starting "Dry-January" today.

Don't throw away any unwanted alcohol. Instead, you are very welcome to leave with me and I'll happily dispose of it over the coming months on your behalf (except for Advocaat you can keep that!) 😄 🤣 😂

Happy New Year everyone!

To all my fellow Priests, Deacons, Readers, and Lay Ministers - I wish you well as you prepare to tell the Christmas Story once again to many - but remember that for some it will be the very first time.

May God be in your words and in your hearts.

Dear Friends

In lieu of sending Christmas Cards this year I will be making a donation to USPG Christmas Appeal.

I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and look forward to seeing many of you over the festive period.
