You're a journalist who survives a helicopter crash in the pines of northern Arizona.

For me it was my uncle, and we were a couple of arcade freaks. He loved Galaga, and I was obsessed with Dragon's Lair. This game was made during the pandemic, but feels more retro than most wannabes. Just pretend it's 1982 again, you're looking over your big brother's shoulder, and we're not about to be handed over to aliens by the world's worst fascist dictator. I know it's difficult, but try.

There are few times in my life when I've encountered a situation that allows me to lose control. I'm an overthinker by trade, obviously. The music thing is beginning to happen, and it feels wonderful. I know it feels wonderful because not much does, or has. Like horror stories about music? I wrote three chapters of a new book last week. It was all I could think about. Then, in a miniscule microsecond fraction of irrelevant time, the spark fizzled. It's a good thing I write these ideas down. This week, I assembled my bare-bones recording studio, and I played. I played and wrote. At one point, I spent an hour searching for the correct tone I liked for a specific song.

I wanted this story to stand alone, even if I did throw a few of these characters into the first chapter of Home Sweet Home. I think it speaks for itself. The story of the human spirit and the lengths someone will go to for the sake of someone they love. Sure, there's demons and stuff, but it takes all kinds!

Here we are again. I stopped livestreaming this for a few days. I wasn't feeling well and I didn't really feel like getting the crap scared out of me; literally. We're back, though. Dammit. If you can hear my cooling fans when I livestream this game, then I know you can hear my dishwasher. Our kitchen connects to our studio; former living room. I'm really trying to snap out of a funk. Any help you could offer would be much appreciated.

I was having a think about Jim Walker this morning. I've started to write the next one, but I have too many good ideas jockeying for the next release. My wife says I don't play it up as much as I should. I don't really do that with any of my works anymore. The level of negativity you encounter while dealing with the online author community, my own negativity included, is leading me in the direction of becoming the "hermit" writer.

I get a bit depressed when my wife goes out of town on business so I'm taking a mental health break. Also, I no longer believe in scheduling art. That's work, not art. If I happen do it at the same time daily for a week, that's just coincidence. Man, you guys should really try out this "mental health break" thing. It's pretty awesome.
