As a black man in America race is a factor of daily life. As a man of God a daily prayer for me is that God would continue to grant me the eyes to not focus on a person's race, but on the person He created.

When we raise ourselves as the greatest nation on earth and fail to acknowledge ourselves as the most violent nation on earth. We mock God with our haughtiness and disrespect the Savior we claim to profess as Lord.
Even if it's a part of God's plan. It remains our failure.

All of us have the right to speak. No one has the right to murder any of us because we speak. Sad week in America and around the world. Don't just pray. Pray for one another. Pray for those that don't look like you and may even disagree with you. Doing so is power to heal the hurt.

Don't get holiness confused with piety. Holiness means knowing that you have been set apart by God. Through His Spirit knowing when to say that's too much and having the strength to refrain. Appearances of holiness are akin to throwing mud in His face.
