Rough art for the first issue of The Assassin’

That old-school pulp style is still the most comforting. The art is in making the imperfections both meaningless and meaningful. Since pulpy art could never be perfect, there would have been no pressure on the artist to deliver perfection. The coarseness of the pulp itself lent it to gritty tones.

A question about the rule of law:
Would you rather see an objectively horrible, violent criminal walk free due to lack of evidence, or would you rather see that same criminal convicted because prosecutors manufactured evidence?

This one is The Revenger. He was something of a Captain America/Batman hybrid before going to prison for trampling all over his victims’ civil rights under the guise of “fighting for justice.” After a long stint in the pokey, he emerges determined to atone for his actions.

Every #comicbook universe needs its “Superman.” That is to say, it needs its most powerful character who “anchors” the universe.
I decided to make Supra a black woman because I believe black women aren’t just under appreciated, I believe they are the backbone that keeps America viable.
