To end domestic abuse we must address the root cause – the person causing harm.

Stopping perpetrators, holding them to account and giving them the chance to change, can protect victims.

Gender norms can be harmful for everyone. For men, there can be pressure to act strong and know what to do, which makes asking for help hard.

Accountability and transparency is vital for trust in services that should be there to serve and protect us all. News of this report adds to evidence that the Met's institutional racism is harming Black, minoritised and migrant communities, both inside and outside the force. Urgent action is needed.
The burial of a report exposing the Met police's institutional racism shows a lack of commitment to change. Black, minoritised, and migrant communities deserve transparency.

The Met must make the report public and accept the findings of the report and the Casey Review on force culture.
