Did you know…glacial ice tells stories about the Earth’s past? Ice cores, cylinders of ice drilled from glaciers & ice sheets, can reveal information about the Earth’s atmosphere and climate from as far back as 100,000 years ago. The oldest ice core record, from Greenland, dates back 130,000 years!

2026 is projected to be one of the warmest years on record, according to a recent release from Environment and Climate Change Canada: bit.ly/3Zjxldk

2026 will likely be close in temperature to 2023 and 2025, which are the second and third hottest years ever recorded, with only 2024 being hotter.
