There's been a lot of chatter this week after Gov. Shapiro mentioned a ban on cell phones in schools during his budget address. As a parent of two teenage daughters, I share many of the Governor's concerns about cell phones in the classroom. I am confident we will find common ground on this issue.

On Friday, I was pleased to join the 4th graders in Ms. Robertson's classroom at Roosevelt Elementary School to talk to the kids about my role as a legislator. There's nothing about my job that I enjoy more than spending time with our ASD students!

I recently joined Sen. Nick Miller and my fellow Allentown colleagues in the PA House for ASD's groundbreaking of its new $11 million Family & Community Resource Center.

Once completed, this will be a one-stop shop for families to enroll their children in school, access health care and much more.

PennDOT crews will be doing some crack sealing repairs on Kings Highway/Vera Cruz Road:

•Work will begin at 8am tomorrow, 12/31 and is estimated to wrap by 2pm.
•Work will resume in the same area at 8am Friday, 1/2 and is estimated to be completed by 2pm.
