Heads up this weekend if you will be driving on Route 100: Norfolk South is going to be doing repairs at the rail crossing on Route 100 between Schantz Road and Penn Drive. Route 100 will be closed 6 AM 11/15 until Sunday evening.

My office has received inquiries about when SNAP funds would be distributed. The Trump administration's decision to only fund partial benefits is going to cause delays for all states in distributing those funds. As I get information, I will share it.

My office is getting calls from folks who get health care from Pennie/ACA. Imagine currently paying $286/month for premiums & get the quote for next yr at $1800/month. The only reaction is to panic. Our neighbors need Congress to extend the ACA subsides.

Today (10/28) is the last day to request your mail in ballot. It's really to late to make the request via mail. Do it online: Vote.PA.Gov or go to the voter registration office (17 S 7th St, Allentown) before 4 PM.

Important update for the 24/7 drop box at the Gov't Center. Lane restrictions announced last week no longer scheduled for 10/31-11/4. 11/1 event is still scheduled. Getting to the drop box on Saturday from 8am until 3 pm almost impossible w/out parking & walking a few blocks.

While PA distributes SNAP benefits, it is funded by the federal government. The funding is set to run out Nov 1 and people across the country--including in PA--will find themselves without critical help.
