Great to welcome Texas State Rep. @rafaelanchia.bsky.social to my D.C. office this week!

We had a productive conversation about delivering for North Texas and strengthening the partnership between our state and the work I am doing in Washington.

ICE agents are using intimidation and brutal authority against people exercising their First Amendment rights. That is unacceptable.

When abuses happen, we have a duty to act.

Accountability means impeaching and removing Secretary Noem.
January 16, 2026 at 9:52 PM
Secretary Noem swore an oath to uphold the Constitution and protect the American people.

She has violated that sacred oath, leading a department that continues to deny people their rights and terrorize communities.

She must be impeached.

At a moment when public trust in government is at rock bottom, Republicans are still blocking real action to end corruption in Washington.

I’ll keep fighting for a full ban on stock trading by Members of Congress, the executive branch, and the judiciary.
January 15, 2026 at 4:49 PM
After my election to Congress, I fully divested from my stock holdings—because public service should never be about personal profit.

I introduced legislation to require every Member to do the same. Republicans voted no.

Americans deserve representatives who work for them, not their portfolios.

I stood outside the Supreme Court to speak out against relentless attacks on transgender kids.

These cases are part of a Republican effort to erase trans people through health care bans and attacks on parents and educators.

Trans kids deserve equal protection. I won’t stop fighting for equality.

🚨BREAKING🚨

The House just passed legislation to restore ACA health care tax credits. I was proud to vote YES.

Nearly 100,000 people in #TX32 rely on these credits—and Republicans let them expire.

Now the Senate must act to protect affordable health care.

Nearly 100,000 people in my district rely on ACA tax credits to afford health care.

Republicans let them expire—forcing families to start the year without care.

This is life or death. I’m fighting to restore these credits. Families deserve better.

After an American citizen was killed by ICE, Secretary Noem must answer questions on how ICE operates in Dallas—and why agents aren’t required to identify themselves to local police.

Texans deserve accountability and safety. juliejohnson.house.gov/media/press-...

As a Member of the House Homeland Security Committee, I have repeatedly demanded that Secretary Noem & DHS rein in their agents. They have refused.

ICE has unlawfully detained US citizens, eroded the rule of law, & now, due to zero accountability, killed an American citizen.

Trump gutted funding for school safety, child support, missing children, and abuse investigations.

Now, Secretary Kennedy’s war on children threatens decades of progress protecting kids from deadly diseases.

In the dead of night, Trump quietly imposed a national abortion ban for veterans — cutting off the last lifeline for Texans facing life-or-death emergencies.

This is a betrayal of those who served. I’ll keep fighting to protect abortion access for all Americans.
Trump's VA just banned abortion care for veterans—even in cases of rape, incest, or threats to health.

This is cruel, and dangerous.

Five years ago today, an angry mob — incited by President Trump — attacked the U.S. Capitol and our democracy in an attempt to stop the peaceful transfer of power.

Law enforcement officers were injured and killed defending the very institution they swore to protect.

Two things can be true at once: Nicolás Maduro is a dictator who has enabled drug trafficking into the United States, and the President’s unauthorized military action in Venezuela is a clear violation of the Constitution and international law.

This year, we helped hundreds of families, brought millions back to our communities, & made sure North Texas had a strong voice in Washington.

Next year, we build on that progress — with a focus on affordability, fairness, and opportunity for every family.

Onward to 2026.

Merry Christmas, North Texas! 🎄✨

Wishing you a season filled with warm hearts, good food, and time with the people who matter most!

Families are stressing over how much more everything costs, with prices through the roof in Trump's America.

That’s why I’m focused on lowering costs across the board: groceries, housing, health care, and energy.

You deserve relief. That's what I'm fighting for.

A day in the life: committee hearings, votes, representing North Texas, and a lot of tea.

Every day is different, but the goal is always the same — fighting for the people I represent.

Thanks for coming along, and thanks to our amazing interns who helped make this video possible!

Instead of extending the Affordable Care Act’s tax credits, Speaker Johnson gaveled Congress out of session — guaranteeing that millions will pay more for health care.

This fight isn’t over. I’ll keep pushing to extend these tax credits and lower costs for families.

As per usual, Donald Trump has violated the law.

The Epstein Files Transparency Act required that the Trump Administration release the Epstein Files by midnight tonight.

This is a cover-up by Trump. Congress must hold this Administration accountable for its lawlessness.

Today was the last day the House convened in 2025.

Under Speaker Johnson, this has been one of the most unproductive Congresses: only 103 legislative days and the longest government shutdown in history.

Trump’s reckless, illegal side quest is burning through taxpayer dollars while families struggle to afford the basics.

The median income in Dallas is about $51,000, and a single unlawful strike in the Pacific or Caribbean costs many times that.
Trump is sleepwalking us into a war with Venezuela.

I’m leading debate in opposition to this madness. The American People don’t want another endless, costly quagmire in another country—they want us to focus on fixing problems here at home.

Failed businessman Trump called “tariffs” his favorite word.

Trump’s tariffs are the largest tax hike since 1993 and cost each household $1,200 in 2025, which will go up to $1,600 in 2026.

That tax refund he’s promised? Taking money out of your back pocket to put a penny into your front pocket.
