The National Fraternal Order of Police is the world’s oldest and largest organization representing sworn law enforcement officers.

I’m grateful to their leadership for coming to DC to discuss how we can strengthen public safety and protect the communities we serve.

What we’ve seen with ICE in Minneapolis is horrifying.

The First Amendment must be upheld, not threatened by the Trump administration.

Black History is American History.

Each February, we lift Black History Makers — Americans who have shaped our arts, culture, science and more. It is joyful recognition.

Yet, just a few weeks ago we witnessed our history being abruptly removed from Independence Mall, our nation’s birthplace.

We love the Schuylkill River — walking, biking, and hiking along it is one of the best parts of living in Berks and MontCo.

Grateful to Elaine and Tim from the Schuylkill River Greenways for all they do to recognize its value and help keep it the special place it is.

I believe in the remaining funding bills — but these are not normal times.

ICE is sowing chaos, fear, and cruelty.

This must stop.

It’s time to hold this administration accountable for the harm being done to our communities.
February 2, 2026 at 10:08 PM
The Trump administration undermines public safety and due process — Americans deserve accountability.
January 29, 2026 at 6:40 PM
This is the correct first step.

As Minneapolis — and people around the country — mourn the senseless, horrific killing of Alex Pretti, we need a full, unbiased investigation.
January 28, 2026 at 9:00 PM
I am sickened by the horrific killing of another person in Minnesota.

This madness must stop.

Last year, our Take It Down Act became law to protect Americans online.

As reports find X's Grok chatbot generated heinous and illegal images, the Department of Justice must follow the law.

"Make America Healthy Again" cannot coexist with attempts to cut public health programs.

Democrats on the Appropriations Committee are fighting for critical funding.

As AI rapidly evolves, our laws must catch up — that includes preserving the dignity of artists and the authenticity of their work.

Our bipartisan TRAIN Act would grant creators access to AI training model records to determine if their copyrighted work was used without permission.

To my Republican colleagues — You must speak up on Greenland and defend our NATO allies.
January 21, 2026 at 7:14 PM
On Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, let us remember his life and his life’s work.

Let us never be silent in the face of injustice and the wrongs we are seeing.

No better way to end a week in Washington than meeting with our students!

What a joy to meet with students from Barrack Hebrew Academy as part of their civic education program.

The thoughtful engagement of our young people is a great thing to witness.

In 24 hours, the Trump Admin cancelled — and then reinstated — thousands of SAMHSA grants.

They heard our outrage.

While I am deeply relieved about this reversal, providers for mental health and addiction services cannot operate in this uncertainty.
January 16, 2026 at 7:10 PM
For 80 years, we have led a peaceful partnership with NATO.

We must uphold our commitment to our allies.

We have a responsibility to ensure all Pennsylvanians thrive and belong.

I was grateful to meet with Pennsylvania Advocacy and Resources for Autism and Intellectual Disabilities (PAR), whose work uplifts children and adults with autism and intellectual disabilities across PA.
January 15, 2026 at 3:07 PM
Without warning or explanation, the Trump Administration terminated SAMHSA grants — effective immediately.

This decision will cost lives.
January 14, 2026 at 11:14 PM
Denmark is our ally — our friend.

The President's rhetoric on Greenland is dangerous.
January 14, 2026 at 8:48 PM
The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society boosts the quality of life, environment, fresh food access, and local economies, including at MontCo’s Meadowbrook Farm.

Thank you Matt and Ryan for visiting DC and championing green spaces for all Pennsylvanians.
January 13, 2026 at 11:05 PM
From Boyertown to Jenkintown, PA-04 depends on libraries for passport applications — and libraries rely on this revenue.

When more Americans than ever are seeking passports, it’s nonsensical for the State Dept. to stop this program.

My bill would re-authorize public libraries as processing sites.
January 13, 2026 at 6:12 PM
We have to protect people and their access to healthcare.
January 11, 2026 at 5:12 PM
Donald Trump is lying to you.

We must see through this administration's callousness.
January 10, 2026 at 6:42 PM
Renee Good was a mother of three — shot and killed by ICE.

It is a tragedy.

Yet the administration would rather smear her name than prioritize transparency, public safety, and a full investigation.

Minnesota — and all Americans — deserve better.
