On one hand, I do think it’s a good thing that people are starting to be more skeptical about believing everything someone in a position of authority tells them.

On the other hand I saw someone refer to Orwell as “poorly written propaganda slop” and I worry we’re losing the plot a little bit.

It’s the last day of #ICFA and this was the best first conference I could have had! Everyone was a treat to talk to and all the panels were amazing. I can’t wait for next year!

Just finished reading Thirteen Storeys by @jonnysims.bsky.social and it was absolutely fantastic! Incredibly relevant themes and stories and extremely cathartic. I also can’t more highly suggest listening to the audio version as well, as the full cast truly breathes life into it!

It’s odd how frequently my writing blocks get lifted by seemingly small things. All it took was making a wrong guess about the direction a story was going to remind myself what I enjoyed about writing in the first place 😅

Though I suppose that’s more thanks to reading than anything else
