@scalzi.com thank you. Thank you for writing stories that suspend reality and create new ones. Thank you for being endlessly surprisingly entertainingly interesting. Thank you for being kind, for being thoughtful, and for your humor.

Trivia I learned today: This pack of desiccant is supplied by Super Dry, the Singapore-based “Global Supply Chain Guardian” (tm). They create “moisture protection solutions” like this that can absorb 300% of its own dry weight in moisture for up to 90 days in temp ranging from -5 to +90 degrees C.

Ever wonder how biomedical innovation actually works (or doesn’t?)

When everyone has an opinion about healthcare costs, and specifically drug prices, it helps to know how drugs happen.

Feels like every third text is a “tested positive for COVID so I’m out” - is that just me? Also, “I just got back from (name of summer festival) and feel like crap” = no thank you

Ok - reading Arkady Martine’s Teixcalaan series. Book one: “a memory called empire” is an intergalactic-empire-succession-power-struggle-fish-out-of-water-murder-mystery set in an AI-hyper-veillance smart capital city and featuring a brain computer interface tech with a twist.
