I teach a pretty hardcore masters unit on how to ID animals, with peeps like @idrnik.bsky.social. The students are so impressed I know all the characters in the key for each species. Folks, secretly, we’ve been using the same individual bugs for four years. I don’t know the key, I know the bug.
