Apparently they are finally going to vote on opening the Epstein files.
Not sure everybody will be satisfied, but if it passes and is not vetoed we'll at least have partial closure.
I still get the feeling that this is not over yet-Computer data can't be burned like paper.

It's been a good day.
Not sure I'm used to good days or even prefer them by much.
Maybe I'd be tripping through life like Jiminy Cricket!

Not like I question the reasoning much but pedophilia is about the number 1 issue the sticks in people's craw.
It'll get you killed in prison and reviled by anyone living within 5 miles of you for life.
And people never get tired of mentioning it!

I guess I have to give Trump at least a nickel's worth of credit.
The penny has been worthless for at least 40 years.
I would rather have them admit that the nickel isn't made of nickel anymore and round everything to the dime.
So put a nickel in the ballot box if you still think he's not awful.

I wanted Lowe's to redo my floors and they couldn't because of EPA regulations. I would have to find somebody to tear up my current floor(not necessary) before they even started because my house was built in the time of asbestos.
Between laws and petty governance this country's going to hell!

Corn Chex may not be the WORST thing. It takes out the syrup and leaves some of the fiber.
As many kids learn, corn is not the easiest thing to digest.
It ends up coming out the same as it came in!

The fact the nobody buys certain groceries is proof that people are frozen in time and the expiration date is always in the future.
The day and year are illusions!

The weatherman is apologizing for the cold.
-Guess everybody has to blame someone.
I suppose Schumer has the same problem with his Senate caucus.

After five years of living like a cave man, I finally got a new heat pump HVAC. Decided the next step was replacing the maybe 60 year-old sheet linoleum in most of my house with higher-end vinyl plank flooring.
(looks flashy, doesn't it!)
-I should have it torn off and sent to the White House!

Lard???
Seems like the point of eating lard is to digest some of it that accumulates in your own body.
People used to cook cakes and even vegetables with it and it's still in refried beans(check the label).
Maybe a good substitute is occasionally eating bacon(not every day like many did).

I guess everybody knows that jalapenos and cheese go together, but a lot of finely chopped fresh jalapenos(2) and cheese on a frozen pizza goes down really well!
November 8, 2025 at 3:13 PM
Catching up on eating vegetables.
Just at the point where they become an eyesore in the freezer you stir fry some and they leave you feeling better.
Some lessons you end up never learning but I should reserve some permanent accessible space in the freezer door for them.

Talking to a local lady about health issues and she says she reads her Bible every day and follows Daniel's Diet of fruits, vegetables and water.
I've been trying to read my Bible but only got so far as the middle of Exodus.
Seems it takes Charlton Heston to make the Bible exciting!

The female personality and mindset is a perfect augmentation of male dysphoria.
That's the way things are supposed to work!

One of the largest frauds on the American public is that high-end luxury goods impart anything other than a fake self-imposed aura.
Even large old houses. Nobody wants that much space and expensive maintenance anymore.
If you want a yacht, the nearest thing is a fishing boat anyway.

Just found out I have nothing on my ballot for this election.
Well, that makes things simple..
November 4, 2025 at 3:51 PM
The fact that Dick Cheney has died sort of says it.
Usually when you say something has evolved you mean that it has markedly progressed. That's not the Republican Party, it's more like de-evolved.
November 4, 2025 at 2:10 PM
The filibuster is in the Senate rules for a reason and that's to encourage some consensus on legislation.
If the Republicans end it and use a simple majority to enact legislation, the Democrats will turn around and do the same when they obtain a majority.
It's a stupid way of solving problems!

I live in Louisiana, so by default I'm a New Orleans Saints fan.
I think that finally coaching recognized that Ratler is the best worst quarterback in history and replaced him with a new first round draft pick.
Still wouldn't be surprised if they round up the season with 1 win.

You've got to take your blood pressure with the end of the arm up and the fist lightly clenched.
Had a 25 point difference in measurement this morning.
The standard instrument for measuring it is subject to all sorts of factors.
You can't measure it after you've had coffee!
November 2, 2025 at 11:32 AM
Trust me, the last thing you want is a bad case of deja vu!
Found myself repeating one of the worst things I'd done ten years before.
Started with a bad visit to the casino.
Spent some time in jail, then the behavioral place and the judge was compassionate and let me off with probation after.

Bought an induction plate about 3 weeks ago.
-To those who've never heard about it it's an efficient electrical plate which directly heats a steel pan(any steel pan).
Heats the food through the pan up quickly and boils water in something like 6-7 minutes.
HaHa!

Shrimp are a decent buy at the grocery.
They're about the only seafood that grows better with global warming- they eat algae.
All protein, no fat.
If you need to stretch it you can mince them with pasta and alfredo sauce.
I buy the gulf shrimp; No contamination, and that's where I reside.
October 30, 2025 at 4:17 PM
My diet tends to go through phases. About the latest thing is cheese and I finally discovered cheese in the frozen section of the grocery.
Mozzarella cheese sticks and cream cheese jalapeno poppers are currently on my list.

To all those rural Americans who don't trust the Federal Government, it's only federal funding which has kept rural life affordable.
Everything from internet, water, electric utility and farm subsidies have not only made it easier to get by in rural America, but made life much better.
