Low key, the furloughs and snap getting cut is going to get really bad. If you're in a good spot, and see something on sale you can get in bulk, buy and donate to your local food bank

Despite our fucked up mayor's decisions, there's lives improved at every corner, for every effort and community program.

A tiny action can work wonders, so don't give in to apathy yet

I know you're exhausted, but even the littlest action can help so many people down the line

As silly as it seems sometimes to be carrying #narcan everywhere, I've seen it work. It really is miracle in the right hands at the right time.

Keep distro going, keep that little box of hope moving so someone can get another shot

I used to see a lot more needles in #kensington now I see narcan and I get to think about a life saved

Septa turning my band practices from 40 minutes on one train into what likely will be 1'30" bus rides is crazy

Tired
By Langston Hughes

I am so tired of waiting.
Aren’t you,
For the world to become good
And beautiful and kind?
Let us take a knife
And cut the world in two—
And see what worms are eating
At the rind.

For many Americans, the government’s monthly jobs number was a dull statistic — until President Trump fired the person who produced it. Now, people are wondering if you can trust federal data if the president can just get rid of people who give him facts he doesn’t like. Listen to "The Daily."
The Most Closely Watched Trump Firing in Washington
Why the president’s abrupt move at the Bureau of Labor Statistics is raising questions about the future of U.S. economic data.

This is a great, thorough overview of the changes made to taxes on seniors reviewing SSA benefits in the Billionaire Bailout Bill.
Taxes on Social Security benefits were not eliminated despite what you've heard
Experts say retiree Social Security is still taxable and you'll need to read the fine print to understand your situation and what you should withhold.

I really think we need a Labor Party in the US to pull an actual candidate that represents the people and run. Both Dems and GOP are beating a dead horse trying to appeal to both the 1% and the 99% and it's exhausting

They should see the NYC mayoral race and the win in the UK as a sign like ugh

Precisely. Monthly sustainers give stations the ability to plan ahead since they have a much better idea of what donations are coming in.
